1984 Ford L-9000 with a 3406-B Caterpillar. I bought this truck to move custom built modular homes, the contract didn't quite go as it should have. I know the previous 2 owners of this truck and the engine was represented as having less than 10,000 miles on the rebuild. I can't gaurantee that but she does run great and don't believe that the mileage on the engine was misrepresented. Haven't had a moments problem out of it other than weak batteries from sitting way to much. About 232,000 actual miles on the truck itself. I can check actaul mileage if needed for someone. The body has a 6 way adjustable Precision hitch which can be used for ball type trailers as well as pintle hooks. Also, has a higher mounted ball that might be for 5th wheel campers or horse trailers but i haven't tried to hook up a 5th wheel to see for sure. I've moved 80 foot homes with this truck and she'll take 'em down the road at 70-75 mph with no problem. Has electric brake hook ups for the trailer, etc. Sliding (extending) power mirrors adjust from inside the cab. Has quick connect off the air tank to hook up a 100' air hose for airing up tires, running an impact wrench, or whatever. I gave 10 grand for her... I'll let it go for $6000. to someone that can use it more than i do. Tag was reduced to 26,000 pounds after i quit moving homes with it, allows anyone to drive her WITHOUT a CDL license. She wants to run instead of sitting around. Can you give it a good home? Contact me at: Wayne at santee cooper cats dot net for more info. if your interested. I'm located near Charlotte, NC.
