My dash lights quit working on my 1988 Dodge D100. All the idiot lights work ok, just the ones that light up the gauges aren't working....makes driving at night a little difficult. I checked the fuse, replaced 2 of the lights, and changed the headlight switch. Nothing. I did get the lights to come on for a split second when I was messing around with the old headlight switch.

Anyone have any other ideas?

Thanks.

Check the wire connector at the switch. Sometimes if the connection is loose it will spark and burn the connector black. It may not make a good connection then both because of the black and because of the heat it will be even looser. Mark:
