I bought a 7930 pedal tractor for our older daughter a year ago. She wanted a purple John Deere so it was painted purple prior to assembly. She was thrilled. However, the turning radius is terrible due to the limited amount of travel of the steering rod allowed by the cut out in the bottom of the tractor. I was told that all new pedal tractors had a large turning radius to prevent kids from rolling them by turning too sharply. Has anyone else had this problem with not turning sharp enough? I've thought about removing some material around the hole in the bottom of the tractor to allow for more room for the steering rod to move. Does anybody have any comments for improving the turning radius?
FIT, I see you have a new 70D pedal tractor. Do the new NFE pedal tractors turn sharp? My worn out pedal tractor from the early '80's was NFE and turned sharp.
Do the combines turn sharp? I imagine if I get them a combine they will want to get it painted pink!
I'm considering getting one of the 70Ds for the girls. They'd like that since their daddy has a real 70D. Plus they'd ride it more because it turns sharp and we wouldn't have to worry about messing up the custom paint job.
