I never did understand how those things do what they do, but they don't call them vacuum tubes for nothing!
Surely this guy is on something??
Hope he tests them again. Thanks for the chuckle, Frank.

It brings back memories of going to the drug store with my father and a shoebox with the tubes from our 3 TVs. One tv was the sound and the other two were for the picture you wanted to watch, selecting between them which station you wanted to see. I wonder how much the tubes cost back then?

If anyone buys them I want his name so I can sell him some muffler bearings and fence post holes. One of my all time favorite and true for sale adds (saw it myself) was a guy in our local paper had an old junk truck for sale and for the price it actually said Four or Five Hundred Dollars........ I still have several old vacuum tubes out in the shop (I have a few antique radios) and doubt if I ever get rid of them, the wife n kids can throw them out once Im gone I reckon.........

I've got dozens of tubes in storage, including a dozen primo 813's in case I ever get into HF again and build another nice linear. I THINK I even have a nice power transformer for that project....
