A fellar from the coffee shop brought this in and asked what it was. It's dated to 1921. Anyone have any ideas?

it is a meart tnderizer. there is a forum for old tolls called paw paws wrenches. lots of interesting guys and things on that site. i posted the question over there and got a buch odf come backs in just a very short time and even one guy put the patent up on line. check it out. you might enjoy it.
