Okay, reminds me of a tractor, sort of.
As a newbie banjo player wannabee I listen to a radio program on NPR (even thought is kinda democrat lol) Saturday nights called "The Folk Sampler" with Mike Flynn and I just heard this song by Tommy Makem who, like most of my favorite singers, is dead. Its called "Gentle Annie" and he tells the story and sings it at the URL below, check it out if you like Irish ballads.

Thanks John T. I thoroughly enjoyed that.
With the PM system down on this site I've not asked about your NY trip. But I'm still wondering how things went at Glimmerglass and the Banjo camp.
Thanks

Yo Rav Man, Welllllllll we found GARDENGALE what a beautiful small farm and the setting and scenery, yall need to buy that farm back n keep it in the family I tell ya..............Glimmerglass, like most all the great NY State Parks we visited was beautiful,,,,,,,,,,,,WE WERE NOT IMPRESSED WITH HYDE HOUSE,,,,,,,,, too barren and plain nuttin but cold unornamented limestone YUK lol but to each their own,,,,,,,,,,,
Had a great time at the NY Expo visiting with you and your your gang and Banjo Camp was fun and informative. Not sure about 2 years from now, my same old 3 talks are wearing thin Id say, Im sure John and Cheryl will ask me back, maybe take a break n try again in 4 years, they need some new blood in my opinion??

Glad you found ole' Gardengale. My life literally flowed from soils there.
Hyde Hall didn't impress you much eh? Well you 're one tough cookie. All I think it takes thought is a certain Wixo mag cover. He He he
Hope to see you soon.
