Here are some pictures of a tiller I found at the local dealer. I have a picture with the serial # as well. Will this model fit a 140? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'm not well versed on the JD tillers, shwheeler, but that looks like a model 30 with the adapter to fit '68 and up gear drive 110, 112, and 200 series tractors. With the quick-tach adapter off, it would work on the early round fender 110-112 tractors. It is driven by a belt from the engine PTO on the early tractors, or PTO to a midmount mule drive on later gear drive models.
It will not fit a 140 for sure. It would attach to a 140 frame but could not be driven or lifted. The model for a 140 is driven by the rear PTO attachment. The model number for a 140 might be #33. The ones that fit a 140 will also work on early closed frame 300 series tractors (300, 312, 314, 316K, 317).

Thank you very much tommyhawk. I found a model 33 in New York for $99.00 bucks ready to go.

Wow! That would be a bargain price. Do you already have the rear PTO drive with your tractor? Hope you get a good one and enjoy using it.
