Saw the first one this am in central IL
Get Ready folks.
They used to show up no sooner that 13 April but seem to come ealier now that the colony is established.

Lucky Duck.
Have a nice Martin House; placed it where a martin house should be and all I get are starlings. Buggers are so bad theyve even turned to attacking my bluebirds at the bluebird houses. Cant get thru the hole but sit on top and try to trap the blues inside.
Will get the .22 out (its overkill but I dont have a pellet gun) if they come back when the weather warms up. Snow flakes the size of quarters here.
