This 1956 John Deere 60 was bought in the 1960’s By my Grandpa to pull the hay baler because of its live PTO and to help the A and MT out. I was parked because of a stuck clutch and stuck PTO in the 1980’s and replaced by a 4010. When I was a kid dad drove this tractor while I drove the A, I guess that’s why it’s my favorite, because it’s the big boys toy that I rarely got to drive.
I dug it out of the bushes and started fixing it in 2008. It had mixed up back rims and no front rims or tires at all, very stuck engine and clutch, and many other mechanical concerns.

Here it is when we first pulled it out of the woods, it’s the bush in the back, the one in the front is the 48 A;

And here it is going to my house;

Here it is getting a few mechanical repairs and maintenance;

And here she is back together and running and driving once again.
Let me tell you, you can hear her coming, this thing is way louder than my A’s, she will make your ears ring, no wonder all the men in my family are half deaf.

So far I have not painted her yet, You can always paint them but its hard to un-paint them, its nice to have one left that still looks like an old hard working tractor.
Eventually I probably won’t be able to stand it anymore and she might wind up with a good coat of high quality paint and some new stickers.
