Dave,
Thats to bad you might not make it. I will be down there on Saturday. I hope to still see you and Andy.
P.S. If you need help I would be glad to tow your model B down for you.

Steve,
Thanks for the offer, maybe some other time.
The transmission got pulled. The torque converter and pump are shot. 38,000 miles on the trans. Says alot for Ford products. They gave me choice. New tor. converter and pump (there's metal in the trans) cost about $2,000 or new trans for $2,500-$2,800. Great!! What a deal.
As soon as truck comes back it's off to look for something else. Any suggestions.
Dave
I had a Ford once and had nothing but problems. It was a 2001 F150 with a 5.4 V8. It sucked. It was a gas hog, it was terrible towing my 5000 pound travel traler.

When it had 48,000 miles on it started to cough, sputter and blow black smoke out the tail pipe. My advice is to either buy a Chevy/GMC or Dodge. Trust me that they will get better fuel economy than your Ford. I have talked too some people that baught a new Toyota Tundra and are not overly impresesed with them. If was to go out and buy a new truck right now it would be a Chevy. I had two and like them very much.
I would rather ride a burrow to work than drive a Ford!!!!
Take care.

Good luck with your truck hunting.
