Hi, folks!

Due to the spam attacks we've been subjected to, plus a swarm of "Guest" posters being unpleasant, we now have a mandatory registration in place. Anyone can read the board, but only registered members may post.

This may cause problems for a few users who have issues with their own computers, in that the security settings must be set to allow "cookies," but this is easily corrected. If anyone needs help, please contact me.

Registration is easy, and presents no security problems to the user.

Thanks for bearing with us through all this. It's a genuine shame that such measures are needed, and we held off for as long as possible, but in order to have some civility there was really no other choice.

As of Dec 5, 2007, the board default registration procedure is disabled. This is because of the absolutely bizarre number of spammers flooding the registration, requiring that each one be qualified or disqualified by the administrator. This wasn't hard at the beginning, but now we're getting hundreds of frauds per week trying to sneak in, compered to maybe 5 real people. So... here's the new deal. To register, simply e-mail me, stating your desired user name and password, and I'll set up your account for you, and e-mail you a confirmation. This shouldn't take more than a day, but it's really necessary, so please bear with me

Thanks,

Byron

To foil the mailbox spammers, I can't list my actual e-mail address as it should appear, but it's bguyer followed by the @ sign, then johnnypopper plus the dot followed by com
