I have for sale: a 1943 model 'A' handstart S/N 528089. Rockshaft, 6spd transmission, brand new tires and tubes all around, straight tinwork. Starts easily and runs strong. Governor works well. 321 cid engine. Since I have owned it: rebuilt brakes, remanufactured mag from Roberts carb repair, boiled and sealed fuel tanks (all fuel model), rebuilt carb, flushed radiator and coolant system (thermo-siphon), changed all fluids at regular intervals, new crankshaft seal, belt pulley brake. The previous owner told me that the local JD dealership installed a high compression head on her a few years ago (8-9 most likely). Stock was 5.6:1, but I don't know what it is now. Haven't done a comp test to find out. I'll bet she'd pull 35-6 horse. I weighed her about 4 years ago and it was around 4700 lbs w/ a half tank of fuel. Asking $2300.00. Manual goes with. I live in central IL. Thanks for looking!
