I live in NY in the summer and now am in Florida, I just started tractor pulling and Florida requires wheelie bars. Any suggestions on where I might find these

Thanks

Probably going to have to check into your local fabricators and I'm sure they could whip you up a set lickity split. If you run into problems and want to gather up dimensions I could whip you up a drawing or possibly have them made for you.

For start you'll need to be sitting somewhere relatively flat for measurements. Need to know how high the club allows you to let the front end up or how far up are you comfortable with. Need to take your measurements with about the same air you will pull with because a hard tire is a good bit higher. Allow for the tire to sink in some depending on how hard the track is etc. but that's not super critical unless you want to dance on the edge of their rules and you think they'll be watching closely.

Next you need a bolt pattern to bolt them up to somewhere. I think on the chatting area of this site you said these were for a 40 or 420? Don't know if they have a bolt pattern on the underside of the axle housing that isn't being used or can be added to or not? On my R... I use a couple of holes in the heavy angle tha runs back from the drawbar support. Need something stout to bolt these to.

Need tire diameter... Cent of rear wheel or axle to the ground... height of adequate mounting location to the ground... distance from wheel center line of the mounting location (in a forward or backward direction from axle center.) Diameter or thread size of mountin spot. You're going to either run bolts through your bars to existing tapped holes or tap the top plate of the bars for bolt to run through frame into your bars. Length between center of back wheel to center of front wheel (should be about 8 feet on a 40 or 420) and this will tell you how high you'll be depending on how much gap you leave between your bars and the ground. The diameter of the tires would be about where you want the bars to stick out. With the above dimensions you can lay this out and figure an angle for your dangle. If you want to gather dimensions and shoot them over to me I'll whip you up a drawing you can consider and if you like what you see you can use for quotes. A forwarning... the drawing will only be as good as the dimensions you give me. You'd want to re-verify the dimensions before firming anything up with anyone. If you want them built I'd have to let you know about a cost etc.

Also need to take weight into consideration. If you're marginal on meeting your lowest weight class you don't want these heavy as all get out. If you're light and can afford some weight then you might as well make them beefier than necessary. Let me know if you want a hand with this. Also like to know if you do find someone who already has these as a stock item.
Good luck,
Bob
