GrandpasM
I have finally set my mind (and wallet) to restoring what used to be my Granpa's M. I just introduced myself in the "Introduce yourself" area and said I'd post some pictures of the tractor. All things considered I think it's in fairly decent shape. It's got some dents and dings and the rear wheels will be interesting to say the least. I'll take my time and do it right because this isn't going to be a trailor queen. I've got work planned for the old girl and since I used her when I was a kid I know she can do it. According to the serial number M-21074 this puts the tractor as a 1948. If I'm wrong please let me know. I'm married I'm used to being wrong. laugh.gif

This first pic is how she's been sitting for the last 20 years at my grandma's garage.

Here's a side view with all the junk cleaned away (for the most part)

Here's a either side of the engine.

And this is a look at one of the rear wheels.

I've got the new front tires on the wheels and the wheels are cleaned primed and painted. For my first time painting it didn't go too bad. All I need to do now is install the bearings and new dust felts and they're ready to go back on the tractor.
