Hi I'm new here. I am 27 years old from Michigan. I inherited an early styled "B" when
I was about 14 from my uncle, but due to my lack of experience in the restoration process, the tractor sat around in my uncle's barn for years and eventually he sold it. It's unfortunate, because my great, great grandpa bought it new around 1944, and it had been in our family until about 1995. I started to try to track it down, but ran into some dead ends. My latest hope is to find one similar to it, but I have many questions as I don't see many like it. Here's what I know. I think it was a 1943 or 44. I have the original manual, and the serial number.it starts with 176xxx. I also believe it is what is known as a "long hood" as the battery was located behind the gas tanks. Also it was a 4 speed without power lift, and it had fenders?

Any imput would be greatly appreciated. I am going to continue to look for the tractor, but would like to know more about it, or talk to someone who has one like it! Thanks

I am truly exhibiting my newbie status. I have posted this again in the shed as I realized that it was a more appropriate place to!

I have long been a 2 popper fan and am looking forward to learning more about it now that I have the time and place to work on and store one!
