Hello all,
My name is Matthew Zakrajsek, I own a 52' G. I will relate the story as follows. When I was in high school I bought a 1952 JD G from a neighbor who I cleaned horse stalls for. It sat in his barn for about 20 years, I saw it while i was helping put hay up in one of his stables. Of course it was stuck as it never had anything over the intake and exhaust. So 400$ and a day later he had pulled it into my parents yard, it was a nice deal cause when I came back from fairgrounds that afternoon it was there. Well about 8 months of off and on work as a father / son project we got it running. As always when something goes good there was a drawback. Two days later I left home for basic training in the USAF. I had finally got it running but that was it, no chance to do anything else to it. So for the past 5 years I havnt had much in the way of oppertunities to work on it, as I could only come home a little bit each year. I hope to buy land in the next few years and finally have a place to work on it, though I will have to tow it a far distance most likely as I go where the AF tells me to go. Right now I am in Turkey and before that was Republic of Korea, before that was Missouri, which I am slated to go back to, unfortunatly I dont have a place or means to get it back to Missoure from Ohio. Well that is my story so far. I hope to have that as my main tractor for when i retire in 20 yrs as it has a history b/w my father and I. Take care, be well, and best of luck to all of you gentlemen and ladies.
