I was recently given a 314 that has received absolutley no maintenance in the last 17 years. Lots of little stuff needed attention, but we have it running real good right now. The mower deck still needs lots of help though. There is no model/serial number tag on the deck like there is on the deck of my 110. My question is what might the model of this deck be? From the tip of one mower blade to the tip of the one on the other side of the deck is about 46 inches. Also is there anywhere on line that might have a serial number - model year list for the 314? I'd like to know what year it is.

Hi Dave. If it has a 46" cutting width, it is more than likely the model #48 mowing deck (which was the normal deck these tractors had ordered with them). For a year/SN list you can see that at http://www.geocities.com/kkortman112/JD_GT_SN_300.html
