ohmy.gif There is some spam that is being overlooked. It is hidden in small print at the bottom of every post that 420w makes. I hope this is just an oversight and will be deleted the same as all the other spam in the future . I have also noticed that our new spam police have been deleting and editing post that have no spam in them, but are just not in keeping with their own agenda. ohmy.gif

That is just a link to Pat's web site. Others have links to different sites there is nothing wrong with having them. Please don't trash me thanks.

When you click on it ,the first thing you see is [on sale.]
420w
This is true but it is the info on the left side of the page that has been helpful to me and i'm sure others. I am not trying to help sell anything all i want is to help others get some useful info. I have nothing to gain myself.

All of the spam was removed but his. [The good ol boy] system is at work.

Mr. Guest,

If you feel so strongly about 420W's signature line, then how about you come out into the light and reveal yourself instead of hiding behind the guest name?
SteveBemis
Agree with 720Deere 10000%. Negative spam is taking pot-shots behind anonymity. It's spam because it gets people riled and ultimately, wastes their time. If it were being done with a gun, it would be called terrorism. At the very least, guests should be on their best behavior, and not act like family who are known to squabble. Oldfashioned? I guess. So are a lot of other things that are missing today, that used to be thought as good.

Thank you 720Deere, 520W, and SteveBemis for support a fellow's prerogative to express his or her preferences and choices without expecting ridicule or scorn. What does this guest hope to do? Will he be policing everyone's signature? Big job!

I would like to think that objectives or rules of the forum would be to provide a haven of peace where each is free to seek and to share information of value, thus filling the needs of those who have need of aid; or who are just trying to become more informed. It is sort of a coffee klatch. We all want to make tractoring both more affordable and more enjoyable.

Etiquette would be for us to think and write charitably, be civil and kind, correct miss-information with tact, and remain quiet if we have nothing to add that will build another person up. And when we do respond, I think it is wise to stay on topic. I pledge herein to do better in the days ahead. (PatB)

The use of "Guest" posting to continue a fight is not exactly the reason we've left it available. rolleyes.gif

With the continuing spam attacks, plus this sort of thing, it's getting to the point where unregistered posting may have to be stopped. That's something that should be completely unnecessary within a community like this, given the fact that 99.99% of the participants are here to enjoy a great hobby, but something must be done.

I don't want to distract from the purpose of this board, so I'm going to close this thread. I invite any comments about requiring registration, but let's do it in the Board FAQs, admin feedback, and testing forum.
