Amid all the mess created by the filthy spammers and the posting wars that a tiny handful of folks insist upon, it's easy for me to forget to say anything about the 99.99% of people here who are the rock-solid foundation of this place. So to all you folks who come here to share or teach or learn or just to enjoy the company of other JD fans, thank you! smile.gif This place exists because of you. smile.gif

Actually we should be thanking you two for the outstanding job you'll doing and for having the desire to do and to continue to do this forum despite the problems. Hang in there 99.999 percent of us are backing you.

I too want to add to the 99.999 percent that think you do way more then a great job. I am behind you all the way.

Just think a man with a signature 2CYL Tractors, 2CYL Motorcycles, and 8CYL Race Cars can't too bad. I gave up the race cars a long time ago, and my motorcycle is a Vulcan, but my tractors are 2CYL.

I thank you in every way I can. You do a great job.

Byron, I'm so very glad you can see through these trying posts to see that the majority of us do appreciate your work and know that it keeps this site going. I know it must take a lot of time, and what some don't appreciate is that it is volunteer time you are giving and that makes it so much more special. If they would only walk a mile in your shoes and realize that you don't have to do this, but want too. I think they would lighten up a little. Hang in there big guy! You've got a lot of people out here supporting you. biggrin.gif

Thanks Byron i love this site. I think you do a great job and also would like to thank every one who has ever helped me out of a jam, tractor related or not or not. The good things that happen here daily far out weigh any bad.

Byron (and any associates),
I also appreciate this site and the information shared by knowledgeable people. This seems like a good time to put money where mouth is - in case new folks don't know how, go to www.johnnypopper.com and on the left hand side in the box is an opportunity to donate. Paypal is accepted, as are credit cards.
Hope this helps!
Best Regards! rolleyes.gif

If you were dumb enough to open this email then you will find a WORM has executed itself through your mailbox and by the time you read this into your hard-drive. This is PAYBACK for the Virus you disguised in the email you sent to us recently which destroyed our hard-drive and back-up system. This costs us thousands of dollars and we lost a lot of irreplaceable files on our system.

Now it's your turn to have your computer infected. This WORM it is undetectable by AntiVirus software and it will drive your computer crazy because it's always hiding and causing havoc in your system. Using your computer recovery disks will not remove the problem cause it still stays on your computers Motherboard. This will proabably cost you a new computer and I sincerely hope this teaches you a lesson not to send people nasty viruses again.

Hmm...that last post looks kinda odd, but anyway - Byron and Brandon - thank you for the work you do on this site...this sure looks like more stress than what most of us would want to deal with, but it is (in my opinion) the best old Deere message board...because of the combination of the 99.99% of users and the administration...

Thanks, Byron. I get a lot from visiting this site. I occasionally ask for information and advice. At this time I am basically a novice at JD 2 cylinders. And I may be a novice for some time--just don't have much time to devote to it. So I take a lot more from this site than I give. But I really love Jd 2 cylinders and this is a great site. Thanks to your faithful work on behalf of us all. Those who criticize you don't appreciate all you do. I'm with the 99.99% who do.

Thanks.

Byron,

Hats off to you, for what must sometimes be a thankless task. The Good Lord was perfect, and he could not please all of the people, all of the time. So we should realize that we all make mistakes from time to time, but hopefully we profit from them. It reminds me of a T-shirt, I saw once, it said, "Pobody's Nerfect!"

Proud to be part of the 99.999% who think this is a good board, and that you are doing a good job!

Keep it up!!
Byron
That post by "Guest" just above was done by the same person claiming to be Henry J in the post about worms. Why anyone would be playing these games is beyond me, but these are the kind of people we're dealing with these days. mad.gif

Anyway, I appreciate all the kind words, but the purpose of this thread was to sincerely thank everyone who comes here to enjoy our hobby, or our obsession wink.gif , with old green tractors. smile.gif This is a great bunch of people, and we won't allow a handful of malcontents to have their way.

I'll move this thread into the admin section so it won't interfere with the tractor topics.

Thanks!

You've a thankless job made more difficult by a minority. I hope you'll notice that most, if not all of the mean, classless entries are by unregistered.

This may give a little impetus to have everyone register.
Imagine the chaos on ebay if those who are unregistered were allowed to bid on items.
