I just rebuilt the engine last fall on my 67 JD 112H and blew snow with it all winter long and about a month ago when I started it the engine started to smoke. I could see oil all around the head, so I thought that the head gasket was gone, but after taking the hydraulic pump off and cleaning it all up, the motor ran fine and was not leaking. The leak was coming from the pump and dripping down onto the head. Has anyone ever re-built one of these pumps? Where can you get parts for them? I'm still not sure where the pump is leaking, but I do not want to put it back on and have to go through the same cleanup again.
