Check out the "Help" link near the top of the page. It has answers to a lot of common questions. Or just holler at me, and I'll try to get the answers.

Hi Byron!
I still haven't figured out how to post an image on the board. I've gone to the sites recommended for doing this, but still "can't get it. My computer runs Windows XP, and the pictures are located in the "My Pictures" folder. The problem I'm having is getting the pictures form "My Pictures" to this board. Any insight would be appreciated! |

Hi, Robert!
Are you uploading your pictures to a site like Photobucket or some other on-line host? That's the only way to get the pictures to appear on this board, if they are located on-line somewhere with a web address that the board can find. In other words, the pics go from your computer to an on-line host, and from there to the discussion board. If you like, just e-mail me the URL of the photo host you're going to use, and maybe I can help a bit. Thanks! Byron |

Hello Again, Byron!
I guess some things are beyond my comprhension. I went to villagephotos.com, logged in and all that, tried to create an "album", and the picture is too big for the "free" sign-up. Then, I emailed the photo (I thought) to some "wizard" or something, that was supposed to resize the picture, but I guess it's somewhere in cyberspace. Oh, well----it's not that big a deal, I suppose. I just wanted to share a photo with the guys on the board. If you have any other (really simple) instructions, I'd appreciate it. Sorry for being computer illiterate! |

I've got a temporary idea, until we get you a permanent solution. E-mail me the picture, and I'll post it.

Hi Byron,
I have been messing around trying to post a pic. I got them in a yahoo photo share but cant seem to get it right. It says to use the address below: Advanced Sharing Publish photos to your Yahoo! Photos web address at http://photos.yahoo.com/krhopp3. I plug in <http://photos.yahoo.com/krhopp3/JohnDeere/Pully.jpg> for example and no go...the "JohnDeere" is an album I set up...tried a bunch of combinations but no go...any ideas on what I am hozing up? I am going to try to grab a computer guy at work tomorrow. I have a question posted about a mower I picked up ...I am thinking a photo or two may draw more attention. Joe. |

Hi, Joe!
I think the problem might be at Yahoo. I looked at one of your photos, clicked on it to get the large version, got the name from that, and tried posting it. No go for me, either. Try sending just one of your photos to Image Shack and linking to it there, using the IMG command for this board. If that works, we'll know the problem is Yahoo. Image Shack is located at: http://www.imageshack.us After browsing for your picture and telling Image Shack to "host it" you need to use the address marked "direct link to picture" and follow all the other directions posted here. |
